My ex-husband's great grandfather was murdered on Island 44 on the
Mississippi River. He was supervising a logging crew on the island at
the time. His name was William Robinson, and he was from TN, but that
is about all I know.

Does Island 44 still exist? Were logging operations common on the river
islands? Is there anyone that would have any more information? I have
the court records, but there is not much information there.
